Dublin City Council wants your views on key issues facing Dublin

Dublin City Council is currently preparing the new City Development Plan 2016–2022. The Plan will set out a shared vision and direction for the future development of our city over the next six years. It will identify what the key issues facing Dublin are and how these issues should be addressed. The draft Plan has been on public display since the 1st November 2015 and members of the public can still make submissions until Friday December 11th, 2015.
“As Dublin’s economy continues to recover the city will be faced with more challenges. Providing jobs, housing, public amenities, managing traffic and climate change are just some of these. Dublin City Council cannot meet these challenges without an effective Development Plan” says An tArdmhéara, Críona Ní Dhálaigh.
Public participation in the Plan is vital so members of the public are invited to let the Council know what they think of its plan for the future of Dublin as a great city to live in, do business and enjoy.

Why not take a look at the explanatory videos on line and the chapter summaries, then go to the Submission form and have your say.

After 11th Dec 2015, Dublin City Council will compile and review all submissions. The Elected Councillors will consider these submissions and agree changes to the Plan. The Council will before publish an amended Plan, which will in turn be available to view and comment on in 2016.
