John Count McCormack jewellery box presented to National Museum

The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Gerry Breen, will host a reception in the Mansion House at which Irish Tenor John MacNally, home to Dublin for a visit from Sydney, Australia, will present a gold jewellery box once owned by John Count McCormack to Dr. Pat Wallace, Director of the National Museum of Ireland.  The reception will take place on Monday 13th June at 2.30 p.m. in the Mansion House.

The jewellery box was presented to John Count McCormack by Alicia and Mary Scott in June 1924 and was gifted to John McNally by Cyril Count McCormack, the son of John Count McCormack, at an event in the Mansion House 25 years ago.
