Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge 2017

Lord Mayor of Dublin Brendan Carr has announced details of the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge 2017.

The Lord Mayor encourages people to join the 5 Alive Challenge team and take part in some of the great road races held around Dublin as a means of improving their health and fitness. The challenge, which is now in its 5th year, has proven to be very popular and many previous participants have gone on to join local Athletics Clubs and have continued with a regular active and healthy regime.

Speaking at the announcement, the Lord Mayor said, “I am delighted to carry the baton for the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge into its 5th year. This initiative has encouraged hundreds of people to start on a journey to become fitter and healthier. I would like to thank the various Athletics Clubs and the BHAA for their continued support with the Race Series.

To register for the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge 2017 and become part of the team, log onto http://bit.ly/LM5Alive2017 Places are limited to 400 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Closing date for registrations is midday on November 14th. All details will be provided upon registration including cost of races.

Any participant who is unable to take part in one of the scheduled races can take part in a parkrun at any stage between 1st January and 8th April.
