Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge Race 1 #LordMayor5Alive

The Lord Mayor Christy Burke and his 5 Alive Challenge Team will take part in the Liffey Valley Tom Brennan Memorial 5K run in the Phoenix Park at 12 noon on New Year’s Day, Thursday, 1st January, 2015.

The Liffey Valley Tom Brennan Memorial 5K run is the first race in the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge 2015. This initiative is now in its third year and over 300 runners, joggers and walkers have volunteered to take part in five of Dublin’s most popular road races.

The Lord Mayor said “It’s great to see so many people making the commitment to their health for 2015.  New Year’s Day is the ideal day to make a new start and I’m looking forward to meeting the 5 Alive Team today and over the course of the five races. I’d also like to say a big Thank You to Liffey Valley Athletics’ Club who organised today’s event.”
The Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge is supported by Dublin City Council’s Sports & Recreation Section.
