Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge Race 2


The Lord Mayor’s team will take on their second race in this year’s 5 Alive Challenge, the Raheny AXA 5 Mile on Sunday 25th January, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.  A northsider himself, the Lord Mayor stated “I would like to thank the 230 competitors who took part in the Tom Brennan Memorial 5K on New Year’s Day and I look forward to seeing them back again in Raheny for our next challenge. The Raheny AXA 5 Mile is a huge event on the Northside. It is an excellent race and is not just for the serious runner but also for the hundreds of fun runners” he said.

The Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge team are participating in five of the best races in Dublin City in a bid to commit to a healthy lifestyle in 2015. The AXA Raheny 5 mile is a huge event in the athletics calendar with over 3,000 people expected participants.
