The Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge reaches the Finish Line!

The Lord Mayor’s team will take on their final race in the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge on Saturday, 28th March in St. Anne’s Park, Raheny, Dublin 5 when they take part in the Dublin City Council/BHAA Race.

The Ladies 2 Mile Race will take place at 11.00am while the Men’s 4 Mile race starts at 11.30am. Ladies are also welcome to run in the 4 Mile race.

Lord Mayor of Dublin Christy Burke said “In 2015, 264 people took up the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge and 162 of them have participated in all 4 races to date. It has been great to see the improvements of the participants and some people have achieved personal bests as the races continued. I’d like to thank all those who took part in this challenge and I look forward to seeing them on the start line in Dublin City Council’s beautiful St. Anne’s Park on Saturday 28th. I hope the participants will continue prioritising their physical health and fitness. I’d also like to thank those who worked on the challenge and the various Athletics Clubs who welcomed us into their races.”

Following the race there will be a quiz at St. Paul’s Gym Hall off Sybil Hill Road, with spot prizes and plenty of refreshments for all.
