Continuing Celebration of World Wetlands Day

Fr Collins Park 10 am to 11 am February 6th 2016

Dublin City Council Parks Staff are continuing their celebration of RAMSAR World Wetlands Day ( held Feb 2nd) by joining the Irish Midland Ringing Group to see how Mute Swans are caught, measured and fitted with rings.  This is part of a research project to track and monitor the number, behavior and risk factors for the survival of this species. Learn all about these amazing long- lived birds from expert ornithologists. They can live up to 10 years and the male in this park is already over 9 years old! Explore Fr Collins Park wetland areas and its importance as part of Dublin Bay Biosphere.
