Alan McMonagle in conversation with Elizabeth Reapy (Dublin City Writer in Residence). Alan’s debut novel Ithaca was published in 2017 and longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Award for first novels and shortlisted for a Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Award. Alan has also written for radio and published  two collections of  short stories: Liar, Liar and Psychotic Episodes, both of which were nominated for the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award.
