Cabra Library, Monday 15 to Saturday 20 July at various times.

Cabra Library presents a series of art and craft workshops with Artist in Residence, Jane Fogarty.  This is a week long residency and please note there are different strands to the series, so one can choose from various options in which to attend the sessions. 

Session 1 : Monday 15 to Friday 19 July 10.30am-11.30am & Saturday 20 July 10.30am-12pm.  *Please note all places in Session 1 are now fully booked*

Session 2 : Monday 15 to Friday 19 July 12-1pm & Saturday 20 July 12.30-2pm.  *Please note for Session 2, there are some places available for Thursday 18th and Friday 19th only; all other days now fully booked*

Session 3: Monday 15 to Friday 19 July from 2.30-4.30pm. Sessions 1 & 2 suitable for children age 6-10 years and Session 3 is open to all the family. 

Session 1 : Monday 15 to Friday 19 July 10.30am-11.30am & Saturday 20 July 10.30am-12pm. Participants will work with Jane every day using photography, colour mxing, abstract painting and sculptures. Sessions suitable for children age 6-10 years. Note that participants who sign up to attend Session 1 undertake to attend all 6 workshops.  *Please note all places in Session 1 are now fully booked*

Session 2 : Monday 15 to Friday 19 July 12-1pm & Saturday 20 July 12.30-2pm. These are stand alone workshops that will explore many exciting artistic processes and teachniques. Sessions suitable for children age 6-10 years.  Each day will see a differnt art theme being explored.  *Please note for Session 2, there are some places available for Thursday 18th and Friday 19th only; all other days now fully booked*

Monday: Photographic Collage  Tuesday: Painting  Wednesday: Mono-print  Thursday: Drawing  Friday: Sculpture  Saturday: Painting Installation

Session 3: Monday 15 to Friday 19 July from 2.30-4.30pm The Artist's (Library) Studio: observe the artist at work as Jane creates a series of egg tempera paintings inspired by the library environment. This is an opportunity to watch the artist at work. Jane will be happy to talk about the techniques and materials she uses. Family event, all welcome.  

The residency will conclude with an exhibition of all the art and craft material created during the week long residency on Saturday 20 July at 3pm.  The Creative Hub programme is supported by Dublin City Council Arts Office. 

Places are limited so pre-booking is required for Sessions 1 & 2. Please check with the library for more details on how to sign up to attend the sessions.
