Early Years Art Workshops

The Arts Office in association with Preparing for Life and Coolock Library present a series of free art workshops for children aged 3-5 years.
Please note: Every child must be accompanied by an adult.
Places are limited. Booking is essential.
Tuesday 10 October at 11.30am. Myself! Visual Art Workshop
Children are invited to playfully explore their sense of self with artist Jane Groves. Working through mediums such as clay and natural materials to build their creations, children will be encouraged to think about and respond in lots of fun and creative ways to the different ideas and stimuli that they will be given.
Tuesday 24 October at 11.30am. Sounds of Rhythm
Percussion and Music with Nick Roth and Robbie Harris. Led by two of Ireland's most experienced early-years educators, 'Sounds of Rhythm' is a fun and engaging creative journey exploring the way that sounds, melodies and rhythms can grow into songs...with just a little help!

Tuesday 21 November at 11.30am. ‘The Paper Playground’ Visual Art play workshop with artist Lucy Hill
Let’s leave the toys aside and play with the packaging...what might we get paper to do and what might paper get us to do?.... Paper hats? Paper dresses? Paper folds? Paper wraps? Paper dinner? Paper music? Paper straws? Paper shadows? Paper scrunches? Paper cuts? Paper balls? Paper snow? Paper giraffes? .....lets take some time to play with the extraordinarily ordinary possibilities of paper!
