film cameraThere are film clubs for adults and/or film screenings in a number of branch libraries, namely Inchicore, Pearse Street, Raheny and Rathmines libraries, plus of course the Central Library, Ilac Centre. Details below.


Central Library

World Cinema DVD Club meets on the last Tuesday of each month from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.

Come along to the Central Library for a cup of tea and a chat about movies! The films will all be world cinema. This is a DVD club, copies are available to borrow from the library, and we will discuss the film at each meeting. Library membership required.

Inchicore Library

Inchicore Library's film club has screenings on second Wednesday of every month at 6pm

Pearse Street Library

Instituto CervantesThe Spanish Film Club show a selection of Spanish language films. Screenings take place on the second Thursday of the month at 5.30pm. Films are in Spanish with English subtitles. In association with the Instituto Cervantes Dublin.

The Classic Film Club screenings take place on either the first or second Wednesday of each month at 2.00pm (check with branch in advance, details below).

The International Cinema Club. Check branch for dates and time.

DocSpot Documentary Film Club. Saturdays. Check branch for dates and time.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Raheny Library's film club has screenings on the first Thursday of every month at 5.30pm.
