Marking the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., this talkpresented by historian Cecelia Hartsell,  will examine the progression of the American civil rights movement, including the interplay between the federal government and the grassroots activity that Dr. King fostered. The talk is free. Booking is required.
