In October 1918, the mail boat Leinster was sunk, with terrible loss of life, by a German submarine. Amongst those who perished were 21 Post Office staff who sorted the mail on board. This is the particular story of the famous Holyhead mail boats and the men who sorted letters on the sea. This talk is presented by Stephen Ferguson. Free event. Booking required.
