Little is known about the women of the Irish Country House (or the “Big House” as it is often referred to). Often, these women are remembered only for the dowries they brought or the sons they bore. Maeve O’Riordan will tell the life stories of women living in these houses during the period 1860-1914, using their letters, diaries and other personal material.

Admission is free. Booking is required.

This event is part of the Dublin Festival of History Programme.
