Dublin City Council in conjunction with the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht are inviting applications for grant funding under the two schemes, as outlined below, for 2020. The Conservation Section of Dublin City Council will administer the schemes for buildings contained on the Record of Protected Structures and in Architectural Conservation Areas within the Dublin City Council Area only. The deadline for submission of completed applications is 4pm on Friday 24th January 2020.

Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2020
Project supports will range from a minimum of €2,500 to a maximum of €15,000 per application.  This scheme will support small-scale conservation projects and support the employment of skilled and experienced conservation professionals, craftspeople and tradespersons in the repair of the historic built environment.

Historic Structures Fund 2020
The Historic Structures Fund replaces the previous Structures at Risk Fund and will have two Streams:
- Stream 1 will offer grants from €15,000 up to €50,000 and is aimed at essential repairs and smaller capital works for the refurbishment and conservation of heritage structures.
- Stream 2 will offer a small number of grants from €50,000 up to €200,000 for larger enhancement, refurbishment or reuse projects involving heritage structures, where a clear community or public benefit has been demonstrated.

Only one application will be considered per historic structure.

Applicants cannot avail of funding under both the Historic Structures Fund and the Built Heritage Investment Scheme in the same year.
Applications should be made directly to the Conservation Section of Dublin City Council. The deadline for submission of completed applications is 4pm on Thursday 23rd January 2020.
