Draft Plan for George’s Quay Area

Notice is hereby given, that Dublin City Council, being the Planning Authority for Dublin City, has prepared a Draft Plan for George’s Quay Area. The purpose of the proposed plan is to provide a co-ordinated urban design strategy to guide the future sustainable development of the area.

A public display and copy of the proposed Draft Plan will be available for inspection at the Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8 from Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:30 pm from Wednesday 10th December to Wednesday 4th February (both dates inclusive). For convenience, a public display during the same period, will also be held in the Pearse Street Library, 138-144 Pearse Street, Dublin 2 during the Library’s normal opening hours which are as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Friday to Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Draft Plan made to the Planning Authority within the above said period will be taken into consideration before the making of a decision on the Draft Plan. Submissions or observations should be marked for the attention of Tom Vaughan, Planning and Development Department, Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8, or by email to before 4:30 pm on Wednesday 4th February 2009.

An Information and Workshop Session will be held in Pearse Street Library on Wednesday, 10th December between the hours of 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Dublin City Council wishes to work with local stakeholders and residents in the making of this plan and is inviting all members of the local community, including residents and businesses and other interested parties to this Information Session.
