Printer-friendly version
The Lord Mayor, Naoise Ó Muirí, will join fellow walkers, in the 2013 Operation Transformation 3K Dublin Walk, which will take place in Eamonn Ceannt Park (Sundrive Park), Crumlin, on Saturday 19th January at 12 noon.
This walk is brought to you by Dublin City Sports Network, Dublin City Council’s Parks Department and RTE’s Operation Transformation and is part of a number of walks taking part in all areas of the country on the same day.
The aim of the walk is to encourage as many people as possible to come together and walk the 3 kilometres in an effort to counteract the sedentary lifestyle many of us now lead.
The Lord Mayor says “Walking is a safe, enjoyable and a free method of physical activity. Its helps boost metabolism, reduces stress and reduces the risk of developing heart disease, stroke and certain cancers. It is vital that all individuals make a commitment to their health and well-being by making physical activity an integral part of their everyday lives.”

Notes to the Editor:

Meet at the Velodrome in centre of park.  Access to park on Sundrive Road and Clogher Road.
