What better way to sing away the January Blues than by getting on your glad rags and joining us for 6 days and 6 nights of great Irish music!  A real family affair, the Temple Bar Trad Fest returns on Tuesday 22 January until Sun 27 January and has something for everyone.

With some of the biggest names in Irish music along with many exciting new performers and musicians as well as additional new venues, Temple Bar will be turned into a right Music Gathering.

This years festival includes headline concerts, over 200 free events, three outdoor stages, open trad sessions, buskers stage and lots more.  Families are particularly welcome and a dedicated family programme is even bigger and better and is guaranteed to keep the little ones busy.

Speaking of the TradFest, Lord Mayor of Dublin, Naoise Ó Muirí says “Now in its eighth year, the Temple Bar TradFest is by far and away one of Dublin’s best celebrations of Irish music and what it means to be Irish. Irish music and song has travelled the world over and it is testament to the Temple Bar TradFest that many of our artists and visitors come back to participate in or just enjoy this international festival. I am delighted to see an even bigger line-up for families in particular, many of which are free and are proudly sponsored by Dublin City Council.  A great festival for all you music lovers, young and old”.

Whether it’s a tribute concert ‘Remembering Barney McKenna’ to a Ukelele Céilí for all the family this years programme has lots on offer. 2013 celebrates The Gathering and welcomes all our families and friends home to the TradFest!
