5 Alive Team take on Raheny AXA 5 Mile Race

The Lord Mayor’s team will take on their second race, the Raheny AXA 5 Mile, in their 5 Alive Challenge quest on Sunday, 27th January, 2013, at 3pm.
Naoise Ó Muirí will start and run in this race along with his 200 team members. “I would like to thank the 135 competitors who joined me in the Tom Brennan Memorial 5k on New Year’s Day and I look forward to seeing them back again in Raheny for our next challenge. The Raheny AXA 5 Mile is a huge event on the Northside. It is an excellent race and is not just for the serious runner but also for the hundreds of fun runners” he said.
The Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge team are participating in five of the best road races in Dublin City in a bid to commit to a healthy lifestyle in 2013. The AXA Raheny 5 mile is a huge event in the athletics calendar with over 2,000 registrations so far. Registration is recommended for this Sunday’s race as soon as possible.
The next race in the series will be the Operation Transformation 5k.
