Dublin City Council’s North Central Area City Neighbourhood Awards will take place this Thursday, 5th September 2013, at 5.30 p.m. at St. Brigid’s Resource Centre, Howth Road, Killester, Dublin 5.  Councillor Andrew Montague will represent Lord Mayor Oisín Quinn at the ceremony, presenting certificates to the winners and participants of the North Central Area.

Pride in where you live is the essence of the competition and it is open to all local residents and businesses to take part. The City Council is delighted to work with communities striving to promote a cleaner environment within their own localities. These awards formally recognise the efforts made in the North Central area towards a better physical environment over the past few years.

“I am delighted to acknowledge the great work that all participants of this competition have done in their local area. It is wonderful to see such resurgence of old values. These Awards promote a cleaner, greener environment and one that will benefit all who visit and live in our City” said Councillor Montague.

The winners of the North Central Area City Neighbourhood Awards will qualify for the overall City Neighbourhood Awards in late September.

Dublin City Council wishes to thank the Coolock/Artane Credit Union and T. P. Whelehan, for their continued support in co-sponsoring the local competition in the North Central Area.
