The Finglas Tidy Towns Committee in conjunction with the National Spring Clean and Dublin City Council will be out in force in Finglas Village on Saturday, 5th April, from 10am – 12 noon when they hold their annual Sweep N’Clean event.

Over 60 volunteers made last year’s event a huge success and it is anticipated the turn out will be surpassed this year. Everyone is encouraged to come along to the Library Car Park at Finglas Village Main Centre and lend their support.  No need to bring anything but yourself and lots of enthusiasm as all equipment will be provided!

Don’t worry if you cannot make it on the day you are welcome to join the Finglas Tidy Town people as they commence their weekly clean up on Tuesday 8th April at 6.30pm at Finglas Library. This cleanup will continue on a weekly basis until the end of July 2014.

Philomena Murphy, Chairperson, Finglas Tidy Towns said “The Sweep N’Clean event kicks off the annual work of Finglas Tidy Towns. As a volunteer I achieved a great personal satisfaction in having a clean village.  It gives a positive outlook on Finglas – our village! It’s also a great way to socialise and meet new people”.
