5 Alive Team take on Raheny AXA 5 Mile Race

Lord Mayor Oisín Quinn and his 5 Alive team will take on The Raheny AXA 5 Mile, on Sunday 26th January 2014 at 3pm.
Oisín Quinn will start the race and run alongside his 5 Alive team in the 2nd race of the challenge series. Over 200 “5 Alivers” are expected to complete the race.

“140 team members took part in the Tom Brennan Memorial Race on New Years Day, which was a great turnout despite the bad weather on the day. Everyone was delighted to have finished the race. We are now preparing for our 2nd race, the Raheny AXA 5 Mile which is a very popular road race on the Northside, and suitable for people of all levels of fitness. It’s a great fun race and one not to be missed” said the Lord Mayor.
The Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge team are participating in five of the best road races in Dublin City in a bid to commit to a healthy lifestyle in 2014.

Participants are also able to turn up and register for the race on the day.
