Visitors are welcome to experience the Island 365 days of the year and access is free. 

Our facilities include:

  • North Bull Island Interpretative Centre – visit the Centre to find out all about the Island’s history and formation, the wildlife which live and visit there and the ecology of Dublin Bay. The Centre is ideal for visiting school and group tours, with facilities for teachers, environmental groups and researchers. We welcome enquiries and bookings by telephone:  01-833-8341 or by email: pat.corrigan@dublincity.ie  to arrange for a visit. 
  • Opening hours are Monday to Thursday 10:30 am to 4:00 pm (closed for lunch 1:00-1:30) and Friday 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. 
  • Public toilets
  • Coach and car parking are available
  • Dollymount Strand public beach – Our capital’s finest beach is maintained to Blue Flag status.
  • Life guards (in season) and first aid centre
  • Showers – free of charge and solar-powered
  • Water sports (by private organisers)
  • Recreational trails throughout the nature reserve
  • Events – check our website for ongoing events along nature and art themes
