What We Do
We manage Dublin City Council’s 1,400 ha of parks and open spaces, a diverse range of landscape types and habitats from the Bull Island Biosphere Park to small urban spaces and including river valleys, coastal areas, old burial grounds, woodlands, wildflower meadows and road environs.
The provision and maintenance of recreational facilities in parks such as playing pitches, all-weather facilities, playgrounds, tennis courts, golf courses, bowling greens and 2 skate parks.
The management of 60,000 trees on streets/open spaces and planting each year of up to 5,000 new trees.
The support of local community and interest groups, Tidy Towns and schools in the upkeep and presentation of local areas and villages.
Implementation of the City Biodiversity Action Plan and environmental enhancement.
The management and maintenance of Dollymount and Sandymount beaches.
The Civic decoration of the City including floral displays and flags.
Contributing landscape architecture, natural science, arboriculture and horticultural expertise to corporate projects and policy development in the City Council.
