Dublin City Public Libraries and Archive organises and hosts a range of talks and other events, some of which are recorded and made available online. A recording may consist of audio alone or, in some instances, be accompanied by a presentation given at the event.

How to Access

Recordings can be accessed by the following means:

  • On the Library Blog's podcasts section
  • Via the Netvibes-based Library Web Portal, which also serves as the default page on PCs in our branch libraries. Quick and easy access here to (a) literary talks, readings and workshops, (b) history and heritage lectures (including our acclaimed Gilbert lecture series from recent years), and (c) Culture Night readings from 2008, 2009 and 2013.

About the Recordings

Recordings are usually in mp3 audio format. You can listen online using the provided player or download mp3 for listening on your computer, laptop or on a mobile device.

We also have video recordings, which you can watch on YouTube or Vimeo or embedded on our website or blog.
