Introduction to Mindfulness

Drumcondra Library, Thursday 27 February at 6.30pm  

In this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of what minfulness is and learn to identify ways in which to embrace mindfulness in everyday tasks. Attendees will develop an awareness on the postive effect that mindulness practice can have on our wellbeing. 

Childhood Worries and Anxieties

Dolphin's Barn Library, Wednesday 4 March at 6.30pm  

In this talk, Dr. Mary O'Kane explains anxiety in children and offers parents practical advice on how to support their children during difficult times, helping them to manage their fears and gain confidence. 

Stress Management

Cabra Library, Thursday 12 March at 6.30pm

Drawing upon a cognitive behavioural approach to stress management, attendees will gain an understanding of what stress is, of the lifestyle factors that cause it, and of its physical and psychological effects. With an introduction to skills and strategies for combating stress effectively, attendees will gain an insight in how to increase one's potential to live with greater fulfilment and enjoyment.
