Pavee Roads Home Exhibition

Finglas Library, Tuesday 10-Monday 23 December

Pavee Roads Home ia an innovative project designed by a group of Traveller men exploring cultural identity through research and personal history. The men, who are part of the Men's Health Programme at Pavee Point took a number of months to document the history and journey of their families from when they travelled the roads to when they arrived in Dublin. The men worked on developing their family trees. Thery had to collect and research the information from older members of the family - as some Traveller births and deaths were not registered. 

Christmas Arts and Crafts workshop for Children

Christmas themed arts and crafts workshop for children. Learn how to design and create your own crafts in this fun 1-hour workshop.  Most suitable for children age 7-9 yeatrs. 

Christmas Concert

The Music Library, Central Library; Thursday 12 December at 1pm  

A lunchtime Christmas concert with performance by Dublin City Council Choir. Special guest appearance by members of Mount Carmel School Choir. Enjoy classic Christmas carols amd music in the company of two wonderful choir groups.

Light Up a Christmas Jumper

Charleville Mall Library, Saturday 14 December at 10.30am

Make and create some Christmas sparkle. Add some lights to a Chistmas jumper in this fun workshop. Suitable for children age 8-12 years. Part of Family Time at Your Library programme.  

The Snowman

Walkinstown Library, Saturday 14 December at 2.30pm  

The Snowman - a Christmas Musical entertainment based on the book by Raymong Briggs with words and music by Howard Blake. This multi-media event incorporates a film screening with a live rendition of the music from the film and an accompanying narration. It tells the story of a boy whose snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve when the two embark on a series of magical adventures. Narration and vocals by James Barry with musical accompaniment by Aileen Cahill. 

Christmas Concert with Rathmines DIT Trad Ensemble

Rathmines Library, Monday 16 December at 1.10pm   

Join members of the Rathmines DIT Trad Ensemble for this special lunchtime concert. The students will perform traditional favourites and some with a special Christmas twist.  All welcome. 

Christmas Carol Concert

A special lunchtime Christmas Carol Concert with students from St. Dominic's College, Cabra. A mix of traditional carols and some with a more modern twist. A perfect lunchtime treat to set the mood for Christmas.  All welcome.
