Dublin City's Historians in Residence are delivering a set of two part lecture series on the War of Independence.These are taking place across a number of libraries and are unique to each branch as our Historians In Residence explore the tumultuous years of the Irish War of Independence, featuring local stories and national events.

Summer Star Storytime sessions commencing on Tuesday 2 July to Thursday 25 July.  A storytelling session will take place on each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12pm up to 25 July.  

Sessions most suitable for children age 5-8 years.

Find out more about these remarkable Irish women, from artist Sarah Purser to ground-breaking architect Eileen Gray, including plenty of contemporary trailblazers such as Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell and athlete Sonia O'Sullivan.

Euro 88 Homecoming - an exhibition. Relive those magic memories of the win over England, Ronnie Whelan’s volley against USSR. Can it really be over 30 years ago?  This exhibition was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Euro 88, with the content detailing the homecoming of Irish soccer team on their return to Dublin.  

Tony Gregory - Life and Work Exhibition

Tony Gregory - Life and Work: an Exhibition celebrating the life and work of the late Irish politician. Tony Gregory (5 December 1947 - 2 January 2009 ) was an Irish Independent politician, and a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Central constituency from 1982-2009. This exhibition looks at many aspects of his life and political career.

An exciting Magic of Music exploration of how words and rhymes in books bring rhythmic patterns to life. Children will explore this using samba drumming, tuned bells with the chords of Pachelbels Canon, rap music and composition. Suitable for children age 7-11 years.
