Charlemont Place, Dublin 2.

A request has been received from John Sisk & Sons Ltd. for the temporary closure of the following road to facilitate the removal of a tower crane on the date and times listed below:

Charlemont Place, Dublin 2 from 07.00hrs to 19.00hrs each day on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July 2016.

Traffic Management Plan

  • Traffic on Charlemont Street wishing to access Charelmont Place will be diverted via Harcourt Road, Camden Street Upper, Charlotte Way, Hatch Street Upper, Earlsfort Terrace, Harcourt Terrace and onto Charlemont Place.
  • Pedestrian and local access to the Hilton Hotel will be maintained.
     

City Spectacular Street Festival
 

Catapult Ltd. intends to close the following roads to facilitate the City Spectacular Street Festival:

Merrion Square East and South, Fitzwilliam Street Lower and Mount Street Upper (from Merrion Square to James’s Street East), Dublin 2 from 20.00hrs on Friday 8th July 2016 to 02.00hrs on Monday 11th July 2016.

A request has been received from The City Council’s Roads Maintenance Division for the temporary closure of the following roads to facilitate road resurfacing works on the dates and times listed below:

Location 2:    Nephin Road (from Ratoath Road to Navan Road), Dublin 7.

Docklands 5K Road Race

A request has been received from the Crusaders Athletic Club for the temporary closure of the following roads from 19.00hrs to 20.30hrs on Thursday 14th July 2016 to facilitate the Docklands 5K Road Race event:

  • Samuel Beckett Bridge, City Quay, Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Cardiff Lane, Custom House Quay, North Wall Quay and Guild Street.

  • Southbound traffic on North Strand Road / Portland Row wishing to travel across Samuel Beckett Bridge will be diverted via Amiens Street, Memorial Road and Talbot Memorial Bridge.

Alterations to Traffic Arrangements on Bishop Street from February 1st 2015.

In a bid to reduce traffic conflict at the junction, Dublin City Council will be closing access from Bishop Street onto Aungier Street/Redmond’s Hill from Sunday February 1st 2015.

The closure is designed to improve traffic flow along Aungier Street particularly in light of the increased bus traffic in the area due to recent Luas Diversionary works.

The closure will make it safer for both pedestrians and cyclists passing through the junction and improve the environment for local residents by reducing traffic along Bishop Street.

The closure will initially be implemented for a trial period of 6 months with a view to making the closure permanent should it prove successful.

Possible Diversionary Routes for Local Traffic on Bishop’s Street

Bishop Street to Wexford Street:

Traffic can proceed down Peter’s Row, turn right at Whitefriar Place and turn right onto Aungier Street.

Bishop Street to Aungier Street:

Traffic can proceed down Peter’s Row, turn right at Whitefriar Place and turn right or left onto Aungier Street.

Bishop Street to Digges Street Upper

Traffic can proceed down Peter’s Row, turn right at Whitefriar Place, turn right onto Aungier Street, and then turn left onto Digges Street Upper

A request has been received from Pantibar for the temporary closure of the following road to enhance crowd safety at an event in  Panitbar on the dates and times listed below:

Strand Street Great (from Jervis Street to Capel Street), Dublin 1 from 09.00hrs on Saturday 25th June to 01.00hrs on Sunday 26th June 2015.
