Dublin Region Watermains Rehabilitation Project

Printer-friendly version

The Dublin Region Watermains Rehabilitation Project has been established to assist in reducing leakage by identifying and replacing the old water mains that have outlived their usefulness. It is estimated that up to 800km are over 80 years old.

A budget of €118m has been provided by Central Government through the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government and further funds are being provided by the Local Authorities to be expended over the period 2006 to 2012.
