Culture, Recreation, Amenity and Community
Our role is to provide a wide range of services for citizens of Dublin and visitors to our city to enjoy.Our services enable you to experience Irish culture, the arts and to engage in a host of sports and leisure activities or simply to take pleasure in our wonderful parks and amenities such as playgrounds. Our services and events are easily accessible and many are free. We are also responsible for a number of key projects such as the proposed new City Cultural Quarter at Parnell Square, the restoration of the Richmond Barracks at Inchicore and the Temple Bar Project.

Events and Tourism
The promotion of Tourism, Festivals and Events in the City is an important role that we are involved in. In recognition of the upcoming period of significant historic events we are developing a comprehensive programme to mark the Decade of Commemorations (2012 - 2022).
We also manage a number of other services such as Animal Control, City Hall, provision of Casual Trading Licences, Commemorative Naming, Intoxicating Liquor Bye-Laws, Higher Education Grants and School Meals.
