Dodder Public Transportation Opening Bridge: Ground Investigation Report

The Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Report is intended to determine, in accordance with Article 6(3) of the Habitats Directive, whether or not the Works are likely to have a significant effect on areas designated as being of European importance for nature conservation. It is the opinion of the authors of the report that the Works, either individually or in combination with other plans or projects, are not likely to have a significant effect on the South Dublin Bay and River Tolka Estuary Special Protection Area or any other Natura 2000 site

Notice is hereby given that Dublin City Council has made Bye-Laws entitled:

Invitation to Potential Operators to an Information Session Thursday 25th January 2018

These Bye-Laws, which regulate the operation of Stationless On-street Bicycle Hire operations in the administrative area of Dublin City Council came into effect on 1st December 2017. Dublin City Council is now inviting all potential operators to an information session on Thursday 25th January 2018 at 11am in the Wood Quay Venue, Civic Offices, Dublin 8. The Council will outline policies and procedures and projected timescales for granting licences and permits at this meeting.

College Green Project - Environmental Impact Statement and Planning Submission

An Environmental Impact Statement has been prepared in respect of the proposed development of a civic plaza and ancillary traffic management measures.

New Navan Road Bus Lane

A bus priority scheme on the Navan Rd westbound between Skreen Road and Nephin Road has been developed by Dublin City Council that will provide improved priority for buses that are frequently delayed along this section of roadway especially during the evening peak.

The bus priority scheme consists of:

  • The provision of a new bus lane between Skreen Rd and Nephin Rd,
  • The removal of on street parking between Skreen Rd and Nephin Rd,
  • A permanent right turn ban outbound from Navan Rd to Nephin Rd.

For those wishing to access Nephin Road the following alternative is suggested:

Traffic from Cabra Road and Old Cabra Rd should turn right at Cabra Cross proceed along Ratoath Rd (R805) then turn left onto Nephin Rd. Please see before and after maps.

The scheme will be implemented in two parts:

  • The bus lane will become operational on the 12th June from 16:00 – 19:00hrs Mon to Saturday and from
  • 4th September will become operational from 07:00hrs to 19:00hrs Mon to Saturday

  • St. Stephen's Day (26th December)
  • New Years Day (1st January)
