Me, Mollser by Ali White – Introducing the Plough and the Stars to a younger audience

Dublin City Council Public Libraries, in partnership with the community & Education Department of the Abbey Theatre, are proud to present Me, Mollser a specially commissioned monologue play to introduce The Plough and the Stars by Sean O’Casey to a younger audience. Me Mollser by Ali White is a compelling, funny and poignant monologue based on the character of Mollser, a fifteen year old consumptive who appears in The Plough and the Stars.

Aimed at ages 10+ (5th and 6th class pupils), the play introduces children to a strong willed and passionate young woman coping with consumption against the backdrop of the 1913 Lock-Out and the Easter Rising.
