Grow It Yourself Groups

Fruit and vegetablesGrow It Yourself (GIY) Groups meet in two libraries (Walkinstown and Raheny libraries). GIY groups are local food growers networks that recreate the camaraderie of allotment growing for back-garden vegetable growers by getting them together on a regular basis to learn from each other and exchange tips, war-stories and produce. Details as follows:

Ballymun Library opening hours are as follows: Monday - Thursday 10am - 8pm Friday and Saturday 10am - 5pm, closed Sunday.

Karl Mac Dermott, comedian and author of a new short story collection Juggling With Turnips will have audiences shaking with laughter during Culture Night. The Irish Times described the book as "funny and perfectly constructed... a wild imagination with wit and wisdom on the human condition".

Jacob's Factory and Dublin Design - A seminar for Heritage Week 2019. Jacob's Biscuits are known for their variety of carefully designed shapes, which enhance their delicious taste. This committment to design will be explored in a seminar arraged by Dublin City Library & Archive, which holds the archives of Jacob's Factory. Guest speakers will deliver presentations on various subjects relating to Jacob's Factory.
