Lord Mayor Gerry Breen will open the Clontarf Midsummer Festival on Saturday 18th June 2011 at 2pm on the Clontarf Promenade.

The Festival has been organised by Clontarf Businesses in partnership with Dublin City Council and promises to be spectacular.  A range of fun-filled activities will be available for all the family, including, bouncy castles, sumo wrestling, face painting, local theatre performances and boxing demonstrations to name a few.  A special addition to this years festival, is a motor show which will feature an exclusive range of sports cars from Formula 1 to vintage classics.

“The Clontarf Festival is a great opportunity for local businesses to showcase the best of what the area can offer.   I know from previous years that this festival is a fun and entertaining event and I look forward to taking part in the day” said the Lord Mayor.


Notes to the Editor:

The Festival will run from 2pm – 6pm on Saturday 18th June, along the Clontarf Promenade, from Vernon Avenue to Hollybrook Road.
