ALL TICKETED EVENTS ON NEW YEAR'S EVE FOR NEW YEAR'S FESTIVAL DUBLIN ARE SOLD OUT

RTE ONE AND RTE PLAYER TO BROADCAST 3COUNTDOWN CONCERT AND LIFFEY LIGHTS MIDNIGHT MOMENT LIVE

NEW YEAR'S DAY CELEBRATION IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT WITH NO TICKETS REQUIRED

This year New Year's Festival Dublin participants will ring in 2018 at three sold out events taking place on New Year's Eve. Liffey Lights Midnight Moment, the family friendly Liffey Lights Midnight Moment – Matinee  and the 3Countdown Concert with Kodaline, Hudson Taylor and Keywest are sold out. Please note that all these events are ticketed and admission will not be granted without a ticket. 

 
The 3Countdown Concert will be broadcast in full on RTE player with the Liffey Lights Midnight Moment broadcast on RTE One from 11.50pm so those home and abroad can countdown to midnight together.
 
On 1 January 2018, New Year's Festival Dublin will host the free, family–friendly 3New Year’s Day Celebration at the Custom House Quay from 12 noon until 4pm with entertainment from street performers and the annual New Year’s Day Concert featuring The Garda Band, Hit Machine Drummers and the Line Up..  3New Year’s Day Celebration will be a fun filled day of entertainment with pop up performances from jugglers, mime artists, stilt walkers and face painting. This is a free non-ticketed event.

New Year's Festival Dublin takes place over 2 days with 4 spectacular events from 31 December 2017 until 1 January 2018. The Custom House, Dublin’s iconic landmark, is the centre for NYF Dublin’s countdown and New Year’s Day celebrations this year.

LIFFEY LIGHTS MIDNIGHT MOMENT – George’s Quay on New Year’s Eve, Sunday 31 December - SOLD OUT 

Watch Liffey Lights Midnight Moment in amazement as the breathtaking, high-flying spectacle of lights and acrobatics takes to the Dublin Sky on New Year’s Eve. This world-class spectacle will be performed against the backdrop of the iconic Custom House with the River Liffey taking centre stage for a dazzling lighting, aerial and aquatic display. Countdown to Midnight Moment Performance: From 11.30pm. This event is now sold out.

LIFFEY LIGHTS MIDNIGHT MOMENT - MATINEE  – George’s Quay on New Year’s Eve, Sun 31 Dec (Family Friendly, Free) - SOLD OUT 

Families and friends of all ages will celebrate the new year together at this new and exciting early countdown event.  Watch in amazement as colourful aerial and aquatic acrobats take to the streets, the sky and the River Liffey. Enjoy jaw-dropping performances from Heliosphere’s high flying acrobats and FLYBOARDERS as they perform amazing stunts. Matinee – Countdown to Midnight Moment Performance: From 6.30pm with countdown at 7:00pm. This event is now sold out.

3COUNTDOWN CONCERT - Custom House on New Year’s Eve, Sunday 31 December - SOLD OUT 

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve and ring in 2018 with headliners Kodaline plus special guests Hudson Taylor and Keywest at Custom House for the 3Countdown Concert as part of New Year’s Festival Dublin. Tickets priced € 45.05 incl. booking fee on sale now from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and www.ticketmaster.ie subject to license.This event is now sold out.

3NEW YEAR'S DAY CELEBRATION - Custom House on New Year’s Day, 1 January 2018 (Free, Family-friendly) - NON TICKETED EVENT

Kick-start 2018 at the free, family–friendly 3New Year’s Day Celebration at the Custom House Quay from 12 noon until 4pm with entertainment from international and national street performers and the annual New Year’s Day Concert. You’ll be stunned by amazing FLYBOARDERS who will perform their jaw-dropping aquatic and aerial stunts on the River Liffey. 3New Year’s Day Celebration will be a fun filled day of entertainment with pop up performances from jugglers, mime artists, stilt walkers and face painting. This is a free non-ticketed event.

PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE ALL TICKETED EVENTS AND ADMISSION WILL NOT BE GRANTED WITHOUT YOUR TICKET. TICKET SCANNING WILL BE IN OPERATION. THERE WILL BE NO RE-ADMISSION TO THE EVENT.

**A GARDA TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN WILL BE IN OPERATION FOR THESE EVENTS.

 

CUSTOM HOUSE QUAY will be closed to traffic FROM 06:00 on 29TH DECEMBER 2017 TO 06:00 2nd JANUARY 2018.

GEORGES QUAY will be closed to traffic FROM 17:00 on 31st DECEMBER 2017 TO 01:00 1st JANUARY 2018.

WEATHER:

This is a winter, outdoor event. Please dress appropriately and check the weather forecast in advance of leaving home.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Both Midnight Moment shows are short durations and we would strongly advise that you do not arrive to the event site more than 30 minutes in advance of show times given as there will not be any additional entertainment on site.

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: DART/DUBLIN BUS/LUAS

We strongly advise people to use Public Transport. As this is a city centre event it is easily accessible by foot.

Passengers travelling to the event can get the DART to Tara Street or Connolly Station.

Dublin Bus to O’Connell Street/Abbey Street area – 3 or 4 minute walk to the event.

The closest LUAS stops to the event are as follows –

·       RED LINE @ Busáras

·       GREEN LINE @ O’Connell GPO or Marlborough Street
