Material Alterations to Draft Ballymun Local Area Plan 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Members of Dublin City Council, having considered the Draft Local Area Plan for Ballymun 2017 and the Chief Executive’s Report (Nos. 199/2017 and 254/2017) at a Special Meeting of the City Council held on the 11th July 2017 thereon in accordance with Sections 18-20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) have resolved that the Draft Ballymun Local Area Plan be made subject to variations and amendments. The proposed material alterations are hereby the subject of a public display.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 18-20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended, Strategic Environmental Assessment Directive (2001/42/EC), Article 14 of the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 and Article 6 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC that the display of the Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Ballymun Local Area Plan 2017, and the accompanying Strategic Environmental Assessment and Appropriate Assessment determinations on the proposed material alterations are available for inspection at the following locations during normal opening hours from Monday 31st July to Monday 28th August 2017 inclusive (excluding bank holidays):
- Ground Floor, Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8
- Atrium, Ballymun Civic Centre, Main Street, Ballymun, Dublin 9

Material Alterations Display 28th July 2017
Written submissions or observations in relation to the Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Ballymun Local Area Plan, Strategic Environmental Assessment determination and Appropriate Assessment determination are invited from members of the public and other interested parties including children, or groups or associations representing children and may be made: -
(a) in writing not later than Monday 28th August 2017 to the address below and clearly marked ‘Material Alterations: Draft Local Area Plan Ballymun’.

(b) Or electronically by selecting Consultations on the City Councils’ website or through www.dublincity.ie/BallymunLAP
Submissions or observations must include the full name and address of the person making the submission or observation and where relevant, the body or organisation represented and should be made in writing not later than Monday 28th August 2017.
All valid submissions or observations received during the above time period will be taken into consideration before the Draft Ballymun Local Area Plan is made. The planning process is an open and public one. All submissions and observations are made available for public inspection and may also be placed on Dublin City Council’s website.
In accordance with Section 20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended, only submissions or observations in relation to the Proposed Material Alterations and/or Strategic Environmental Assessment determination and/or Appropriate Assessment determination of implementing the proposed amendments will be taken into consideration. Submissions not adhering to these criteria will be considered invalid.
Draft Ballymun Local Area Plan
The City Council invites interested parties or individuals to make submissions or observations with respect to the Ballymun Draft Local Area Plan during the public consultation stage; Wednesday 5th April 2017 until Wednesday 17th May 2017 (both dates inclusive).
A series of public information sessions will be held in the Ballymun Civic Centre, Main Street, Ballymun, Dublin 9 on the following dates:-

- Saturday 22nd April: 10.30-12.30
