• Bring free WiFi to your community – applications now open

    The Smart City Unit of Dublin City Council is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications under the WiFi4U scheme. This scheme will assist eligible organisations in installing new WiFi networks or upgrading existing WiFi networks, through funding from the EU and from the Department of Rural and Community Development.   • Beach Wheelchairs Available

    There are 4 beach wheelchairs available to use on Dollymount beach for the bathing season. There are two hippocampae and two Debug beach wheelchairs.

    The beach wheelchairs are now available for use directly on the beach. They are being managed by Pure Magic and are available near the mens bathing shelter on the north bull wall. The wheelchairs need to be booked in advance.

2019 National Playday Double Bubble Play Festival

Once again the sound of children playing will echo throughout Merrion Square Park as Dublin City Council hosts its 13th annual event to celebrate ‘play’. Playday is the only national day for play in Ireland and is traditionally held on the first Sunday in July.

Lord Mayor to accept Maquettes from Players Theatre for Dublin city

The Lord Mayor, Paul Mc Auliffe will accept ten Theatre Maquettes from the former Players Theatre for Dublin city at a reception in Dublin City Library & Archive, Pearse Street Library on Wednesday 26th June 2019 at 6.00 pm.
