• Dublin City Council is in receipt of a weather alert from Met Eireann for this coming weekend.  As a precaution, the tide gates on the River Dodder and at Merrion Gates will be closed on Friday, Morning 20th October from 9am onwards and will remain closed until Monday morning 23rd October.

    In addition, the Car Parks on Strand Road, Sandymount, and on Clontarf Road close to the Alfie Byrne junction will also be closed on Friday morning. Dublin City Council will monitor the weather forecast over the coming weekend and take further action if required.

  • Medieval Symposium, Saturday 14th October, St Catherine's Church, Thomas Street

    We've been unravelling the mysteries of The Abbey of St. Thomas the Martyr to raise awareness of this important medieval ecclesiastical foundation.  We are hosting a day-long conference on the history of the Abbey, taking place from 9.30am to 5pm in St. Catherine’s Church, Thomas Street, Dublin 8 .

  • New Traffic Arrangements for Dublin’s Quays

    New traffic arrangements are now in effect on the north and south city centre quays.  Since Sunday 20th August, there is no right turn for traffic from Bachelors Walk to O’Connell Bridge, except for buses, taxis and bicycles.

  • College green bus corridor

    College Green Bus Corridor now operates from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday. During these hours, only buses, taxis and bicycles can travel through College Green. The corridor will remain open to all vehicles outside of these hours, including all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Go to www.luascrosscity.ie and click on 'show how it affects your journey'

    Access to car parks will be maintained at all times.
