Otherworld Festival

Get creative for the Otherworld Festival in Ballymun this Halloween

Dublin’s much anticipated Otherworld Halloween Festival returns this year to Ballymun’s Civic Plaza, on Monday 31st October, 2016, from 6pm – 9pm.

Everyone is invited to get in touch with their spookier side and take part in the festival parades departing at 5.15 p.m. from the Aisling Project Ballymun East and the intersection of Belclare View and Crannogue Road. Both spooktacular parades will arrive at the Ballymun Plaza at 6 p.m. for three hours of family friendly entertainment that promises to entertain and surprise you.

At the festival you can wander through the fantastic 'Spirit Garden' designed by local groups, enjoy refreshments in the Witches Brew Café and be entertained by Circus Gerbola and other groups on stage. The evening will end with a fantastic Fireworks Display at 8:30pm. All are welcome to this free community event for all the family.

Festival organisers are expecting an attendance of over 5,000 visitors to the Festival Village to enjoy the Halloween celebrations.

Notes to the Editor:

The 'Spirit Garden' has been designed by local youth projects BRYR, the Poppintree Youth Project, Aisling Transition Project, Ballymun Mens’ Shed, St. Margaret’s Travellers Men’s Development Group and various local schools.

Other participants on the night will include: Circus Gerbola, Main Stage and Music Acts, Mun TV, Trad Tent (run by Setanta GAA Club), Witches Brew Café (run by the Sillogue Ladies Club) and much more.
