Smithfield Christmas Concert
Jerry Fish headlines Smithfield’s biggest ever Christmas Concert
Dublin City Council brings you our biggest ever Smithfield Christmas Concert and new Smithfield Night Market on Thursday 24th November from 4pm to 9pm at Smithfield Square, Dublin 7.
MC on the night is Andrea Hayes and a free action packed evening is promised with Jerry Fish and Band among the line up of entertainment promised.
School girls from Stanhope Street Secondary School will take to the stage at 5.30pm followed by David Keenan, the young singer/songwriter from Dundalk. A rising talent on the Irish music scene, Sinead White and Band will follow before Cllr. Dermot Lacey switches on the lights of the country’s biggest LED Christmas Tree at 7pm. Headline act Jerry Fish and Band will swing into action and wrap up the music entertainment for the evening.
Councillor Dermot Lacey commented “I am delighted to be here this evening to switch on the lights of this wonderful unique Christmas Tree in Smithfield Square. What a fantastic line up of music, entertainment and fun is promised. I congratulate Dublin City Council for organising this event and for all the hard work throughout the year in keeping Smithfield looking so good”.
Don’t miss your chance to talk about your favourite Christmas movie on the big screen! The Audi Dublin International Film (ADIFF) team will join us on the Square from 4.30pm – 5.15pm to live stream interviews of your favourite Christmas movie on the big screen for all to see.
The Smithfield Night Market will open at 4pm until 9pm with a selection of interesting stalls full of Christmas trinkets, arts and crafts and refreshments for everyone to enjoy.
