South Central Area City Neighbourhood Awards

Councillor Paul Hand, Chairperson of the South Central Area Committee, will present certificates to the participants and winners of the South Central Area City Neighbourhood Awards on Wednesday 21st September in Dublin City Council’s Bluebell Youth & Community Centre, Bluebell, Dublin 12.

Speaking ahead of the awards night, Councillor Hand said “The City Neighbourhood Awards are a fantastic initiative that gives community groups and volunteers the recognition they deserve. Positive change happens when people co-operate with each other and I would like to thank all volunteers and groups for the effort they have put in over the last year. I would like to congratulate the winners of the respective categories and say that the awards are well deserved. To those who have not won this year, you have done yourselves and the community proud and I would like to thank you personally for making our communities a better place to live.“

Dublin City Council sought participation from all citizens, schools and businesses in the South Central Area.  The Awards are about local residents and businesses working together to improve their area.

The winners of the South Central Area City Neighbourhood Awards will qualify for the citywide competition which takes place on 29th September in Croke Park.
