Easter Fun at Ballymun Library

Spot's First EasterDon’t miss our Easter-Themed Book Club sessions for babies to preschoolers next Tuesday 27 March at Ballymun Library.  Maria Sheahan (Book Club Facilitator) has invited the Easter Bunny to check out what fantastic services the Library provides and to leave some treats for our junior patrons.

The Baby/Wobbler Book Club will meet at 11am and will read ‘Spot’s First Easter’ by Eric Hill.  We’ve read many books so far about our doggy friend, Spot, including ‘Where’s Spot?’ and ‘Spot Says Goodnight’.  In this story, we join Spot and his friends as they go on an Easter Hunt together.

Happy Easter, Tooth Fairy! The Toddler Book Club will meet at 12pm and will read ‘Happy Easter, Tooth Fairy!’ by Peter Bently and Garry Parsons.  This story is about the adventures the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny have while organising an Easter egg hunt. Packed with humour, this tale is bound to have your little one laughing out loud!  We will finish off the Toddler session with our own Easter Egg hunt.

During April, we will mark Local Government Management Agency’s annual Spring Into Storytime Initiative by reading stories that tie in with a Spring theme.  The book clubs are a wonderful way to introduce your little one to reading.  They also provide a relaxed forum for children to mix and play and for adults to socialise.

Please note the Book Clubs will take a break on 3 April.  We’ll be back on 10 April.

Due to low attendances, there will no longer be a session for 0-1 year olds at 10am.  Instead, 0-2 year olds will meet at 11am and 2-preschool will meet at 12pm.

See you then!!

Check out some of the other books read by Baby Book Club and books read by Toddler Book Club.
