How do they do it? Hoonuit

Printer-friendly version

videoHoonuit (pronounced “Who knew it”) is the feeling you get when you learn something new. What is Hoonuit? Well, it's a an online learning resource (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) that you can access from anywhere. All you need is your library card and pin. On your first visit, create a new account (inputting your Dublin City library membership card number) and complete registration for the 'Hoonuit on the spot training' option. You should use the same email address as for other RBdigital products.

Hoonuit is video-based software training. You have probably noticed on TV news bulletins, when journalists are interviewing people in another part of the country or another country, in the corner of the television screen the word/logo Skype appears. But this is not always the case. So what method is the journalist using to visually communicate? Maybe they are using ZOOM…aahh?! you reply. No excuse now in not knowing how they do it.

LOGOBut you thought Hoonuit was only for business or interviews. Nope, a video-meeting can be whatever you like - a family-meeting, a bingo, a knitting club, or just a chin-wag.  Anyone can use this from anywhere and for any purpose. Hoonuit has simultaneous video, audio, and text, the lessons are broken down into three sections, after you can take a test, multiple times, if necessary until you get it right. No pressure. Go on be curious. For more information check out our blog. Submitted by Vincent in the Business Information Centre.
