Driver Theory TestWhether you are about to sit your driver theory test or preparing to do the practical driving test, your local library is a one stop shop for all your needs! From application forms to books and CD-ROMS, the library has everything you need to help you on your way to becoming a competent and confident driver.

Sitting your driver theory test will be your first step, and the Official Driver Theory Test book and Driver Theory Test CD-ROM are available for you to borrow in any Dublin City Public Library. Once you pass the theory test and get your Learners Permit, preparing for and passing your practical driving test will be your next challenge!

Get It! – The Irish Driving Test is an excellent book, available from Dublin City Public Libraries, which covers many aspects of the practical driving test – from knowing what the various road signs mean, to parking and roundabouts.

The Driving Skills Manual, also available from Dublin City Public Libraries, is another book which goes through each driving skill, step-by-step. At the end of each chapter the book gives you a practice plan and tips on how to become competent in each skill and how to prepare for your test.

The latest edition of The Rules of The Road, Published by the Roads Safety Authority is also available to buy at any Dublin City Public Library for €5. For more information on learning to drive and applying for your tests, visit the RSA website.
