From 6th June 2017 we will no longer be sending out printed overdue notices by post and will only send out overdue notices by email or text message.

Get your notices by email

It’s easy to sign up to receive notices by email and in addition to getting overdue notices by email you will:

  • Get a courtesy reminder that your books are due back three days before they are due – no more fines for overdue books!
  • Get another reminder the day your books are due back - no more fines for overdue books!!
  • Get a message by email as soon as an item you requested is ready for collection – pickup that book you’ve been waiting for and get reading!
  • Get a courtesy reminder when your library membership is up for renewal, for uninterrupted library service!

To sign up for email notices just:

  • Login to your library account.
  • Select 'edit account'.
  • Enter (or amend) your email address and select the option 'I would like to receive my notices from the library by email'.

Can't login to your account? Don’t have a valid PIN? Just ask a member of staff to add your email address for you.

Get your notices by text message

If you don’t want to (or can't) sign up for email notices you can sign up to get notices by text message. You will:

  • Get a text message when an item you requested is ready for collection.

However you will:

  • Not get a courtesy reminder that your books are due back three days before they are due!
  • Not get a courtesy reminder when your library membership is up for renewal.

To sign up for notices by text message:

NOTE: Staff cannot sign patrons up to get text messages – library patrons have to opt themselves in.
