Stroll into town and head for the Ilac Shopping Centre. Located within and on the first floor is the Business and Reference Centre. This Centre specialises in company and market research information and has an up-to-the-minute selection of books, newspapers, City & County Development Plans, Maps and Atlases and company, business and personality files.  A comprehensive selection of online business resources ideal for business start-ups, doing research, job interviews, project work, statistical information, profiling, company information, financial information...are to hand here.

Included here are:

- Vision-Net provides access to documents filed with the Irish Companies Registration Office, including financial details of companies, which would otherwise be difficult to track down.

- Data Ireland contains information on in excess of 80,000 Irish businesses, 100, 000 Irish executive contacts and over 40,000 Irish contact details.

- Mintel Ireland allows consumers access to Irish markets. All aspects of the economy, particularly the retail, leisure, financial sectors, beauty and personal care, fashion, food and drink, health and wellness, technology and travel are covered extensively within this database. It is also held in hard copy in the library.

- Euromonitor showcases the global aspect of industrial and service sectors. Thousands of market research reports, company profiles and country reports are available on this database.

- European Business ASAP - Infotrac holds information on over 1 million articles, many in full text taken from international businesses and management journals. The subject areas covered include acquisitions and mergers, finance, international trade, money management, new technologies and products and business trends.

- Financial Times Newspaper Online allows full text global news, markets, financial information and management and marketing.

- Irish Times Archive provides articles covered from the first edition of the paper in 1859 onwards. This includes some very interesting reading!
