South Central Area
The South Central Area is one of five administrative areas used by Dublin City Council to co-ordinate the delivery of services in the city. The area has a population of approximately 127,000 and is located in the south-west quadrant of Dublin City, south of the Liffey and stretching from Lower Kimmage Road/Sundrive Road/Clogher Road to Chapelizod.
It has many well-established communities and neighbourhoods including the Liberties, Inchicore, Chapelizod, Ballyfermot, Bluebell, Drimnagh, Rialto, Crumlin and Walkinstown.
