A free online workshop as part of Dublin City Libraries STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Maths) programme.
Technology is only about Social Media and Gaming. Wrong!!! Would you like to acquire some new ICT (Information Communication Technology) skills? Would you like to learn how to create your own web page in a fun and safe environment? In this workshop participants will learn HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) from scratch while designing and coding their own project step by step. Issues around Cyber-Safety will also be explored.
Requirements (Parents please take note)
- Aged 12-14 years
- Laptop and Desktop required. Tablets not suitable.
- Lessons require students to have Zoom downloaded, Notepad++ (Windows), or TextEdit (MAC).installed on their machines. Zoom, Notepad++ or TextEdit are free to download links available at https://kidscoderclub.ie/free-downloads-2.
- In-built Speaker or separate headphones.
- A camera is not essential but can improve the experience.
Workshops will be facilitated by
Kids Coder Club in conjunction with Computing at Schools.

Note: Participants must commit to attend all sessions in 6 week course.
