Culture Night: Vital Signs On The Road - Writing workshops

Dublin City Libraries is delighted to celebrate Culture Night by hosting two FREE writing workshops Vital Signs On the Road.
These are presented in association with Festival in a Van, Poetry Ireland / Éigse Éireann with support funding from The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
You are welcome to sign up to attend either (or both) of two free workshops at Pearse Street Library on 22 September.
2:30pm Everyday Revolutions: Writing Working-Class Stories
For too long working-class stories have not been included in celebrations of culture. Acclaimed working class writer Trudie Gorman invites working-class participants to take part in a writing workshop focused on reclaiming the space to tell our rich stories. Participants will be led through a series of writing activities exploring the working-class experience and what it means to spark tiny revolutions in our everyday lives. This workshop is suitable for both beginners and seasoned writers alike.
6:00pm Healing Words Writing our Stories
Rediscover the connection to your unique voice in this workshop focused on the healing power of telling our own stories with acclaimed writer Trudie Gorman. Participants will be led through a series of writing activities to access the stories we hold inside us just waiting to be spoken. This workshop is suitable for both beginners and seasoned writers alike.
